KM100 vs. IM508 — Which One?
The KM100 is a dedicated key and immobilizer tool. It does key learning, IMMO functions, transponder work, and IKEY programming — and that's the focus. It does not do full OBD diagnostics, bi-directional control, oil service resets, or the broader service functions.
The IM508 series (~$1,400+) adds full OBD diagnostics, service functions, and deeper IMMO coverage on top of key programming. If your shop also does general diagnostics and you want one tablet that handles both, the IM508 is the right upgrade path. If your work is primarily key programming and the occasional IMMO job, the KM100 at $545 does the key work without paying for diagnostic functions you won't use.
