Autel MaxiSYS MS909 S2 — Next-Generation Advanced Diagnostic Tablet
The Autel MaxiSYS MS909 S2 is an 11-inch Android 13 wireless touchscreen diagnostic tablet representing the latest generation of the MS909 line. It pairs an 8-core 2.7 GHz processor and 256GB of storage with the new MaxiFLASH VCI2 — an advanced wireless VCI with J2534 pass-through capability and CAN FD protocol support. This is a purpose-built shop tool for technicians doing serious diagnostic work across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles from 1996 forward.
At its price point, the MS909 S2 competes with the MS919 S2. The key difference: the MS919 S2 includes the 6-in-1 VCMI2 (adding a 4-channel oscilloscope, multimeter, waveform generator, and CAN bus tester). If you do not need built-in scope capability, the MS909 S2 delivers the same diagnostic software platform at lower cost.

Both tablets run identical diagnostic software. The difference is the included VCI:
- MS909 S2 ($4,499 on Autel.us) — includes MaxiFLASH VCI2 with J2534. No built-in oscilloscope.
- MS919 S2 ($5,199 on Autel.us) — includes MaxiFLASH VCMI2, a 6-in-1 device that adds 4-channel oscilloscope, waveform generator, multimeter, and CAN bus tester.
If your technicians regularly diagnose electrical issues that need waveform analysis — misfire diagnostics, injector testing, CAN bus signal analysis — the MS919 S2 makes more sense. If diagnostics, coding, and programming are the primary workflow, the MS909 S2 covers it at a lower cost.
ADAS Calibration
The MS909 S2 is ADAS-capable with an optional software upgrade and ADAS target package purchase. The tablet connects to Autel IA700, IA900, and compatible frame systems. ADAS calibration is not included out of the box.
